Hello All!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
First off, thanks again Cayenne for putting this up!!!! I've enjoyed reading all your blogs. It's keeping me entertained here at work, hehehe!!
Yup, so I'm back in Boston . . . arrived last night . . . and today's my first day back at work! Our New Year's was very low key . . . We were all excited for the New Year. Mama Geny bought the grapes, Marie was making hot chocolate, we had the FOX New Year's Eve special on, and lo and behold . . . Me, Kathy, Kuya Jovy, and Jenn fell asleep, hehehe . . . 10 minutes before midnight, Kathy and I got up. We tried to wake Kuya Jovy and Jenn up, but with no success, hehehe . . . Ah, the joys and sleeplessness of new parenthood!!!! So Mama Geny, my ma, Gregg, Kathy, Marie, and I did the whole grape thing, and yup, Gillean, I don't remember any new year we could actually say "Happy New Year" without the danger of choking . . .
Anyways, the rest of my vacation in Phoenix was super fun and relaxing. We helped Kathy make invitations for her and JR's wedding . . . By the way, view their wedding website here: Kathy's and JR's Wedding . . . We ate lots and lots . . . (Mama Geny made her famous Geny Roma's ribs, both filipino and american style, and for the first time ever, cooked it solely in an outdoor grill). We rode the Phoenix Light Rail, i.e. their new subway system which was super crowded and super super slow, but since it opened Dec 27, I'll just give them the benefit of the doubt. We made our own fireworks out of Diet Coke and Menthos . . . I'll post a video of this later on . . . And, of course, played lots with Levi!!!! (Lots of pictures to come . . . )
So here I am, back in Boston, and, unfortunately, back to work. But hey, in these economic times, at least I'm grateful to be even at work! So anyway, again, happy new year to all! I am so blessed to have you all as family, and may 2009 bring happiness and success to all!

Oh..right..today is Monday. John and I get an extra week of break so we dont' go back to school 'til next Monday. Usually I'm kinda glad to go back to school and the last week of vacation is pretty lame. That's not the case this year though since I haven't done any of my homework hehe.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally psyched for the wedding, and I'm sure everyone else is too. The website is cool. Kudos to whoever made it. My internet is being kinda poopy right now though so I wasn't totally able to experience it.
I just have to put this out there: Does anyone else thing that Levi is like, one of the most awesome names ever? Leeeevvviiiiiiiii. It just sounds so cool...
I agree Levi is a cool name. But it also reminds me of being in Religion Class, reading a bible. And it also reminds me of one my most favorite brand of jeans. Levi's that is.

dude. i'm SO excited to see this video. lol after that night we spent just watching youtube and reading failblog (man, we are totally in the digital generation), i cant wait to see our own family's endeavors in these wacky things lol.

of course it's work related gill . . .hehehehe . . . jk. miss you too cayenne!!!!! i know i was really looking forward to your acappella trip, but has marie told you about her bacholerette party? we're planning to have it here in Boston sometime in May, probably Memorial Weekend. Let us know if that weekend is ok with you! it's not super cold yet, but will be later this week =(
ReplyDeletemight i agree with my ate that Levi is an incredibly awesome name. even cooler is Levi Zachary. however, what makes that name totally awesome is its similarity to one 'Zachary Levi' of 'Chuck' fame....if anyone else even watches that show....:D congrats Kuya Jovy! and i can't want to see you guys all again at Kuya JR's wedding!!
