"Whisper of the Heart" by Studio Ghibli

This is mainly for the cousins (though my mom just watched it and she LOVED it!) but I just happened to come across this amazing movie called "Whisper of the Heart" (by Studio Ghibli) when I was bored on the computer on my day off today...I'm SO glad I happened to watch it, I needed to share it with you!

Watch it here (you have to download the veoh web player):

It was the only movie from Studio Ghibli ever to be directed by Yoshifumi Kondo - he was supposed to succeed Hayao Miyazaki (who wrote the screenplay for this), but he died just a few years after directing this film. I loved this movie and really identified with it - i HIGHLY recommend it ... it was both fanciful and very real at the same time :) It really captures an artist's heart, which applies to many people in our family! (it also helps that there was a cute boy for me to giggle at lol)

p.s. when can we next have an anime marathon all together?? haha I have such good memories of that fateful day in Las Vegas on the second floor of Ninong Gines' place, when JD brought his Trigun DVD...
